METHOD OF INTERRUPTING MEDIUM FLOW IN PIPE-LINE AND DEVICE FOR REALISATION OF THIS METHOD

A flow in a pipeline is interrupted when a medium enriched with ferromagnetic particles is subjected to an electromagnetic or magnetic field. A device for interrupting medium flow consists of a reservoir (4) with an annular pressure chamber (4.1), a perforating wall (4.3) and an electromagnet (2) or magnet that are accommodated on the pipeline behind the reservoir (4). A filling (5) of ferromagnetic grain particles is situated in between the annular pressure chamber (4.1) and the perforating wall (4.3). The reservoir is provided with a membrane (4.2) or a mechanical thrust member (12); the active part of the electromagnet (2) may be tape wound with separators. Energetic, measuring, operative and controlling block (11) comprises: a signal line (11.1) indicating pressure values in the annular pressure chamber (4.1); a balance pressure and command line (11.2); a feeder line (11.3) of the electromagnet (2); and a signal line (11.4) indicating a technical state of the electromagnet (2).
