The filter wheel (4) at several places has breakthroughs which give access to the complete radiation path effective for lighting. The light source consists of a halogen lamp with a cold light mirror (1). Directly in front of the lamp, if required, are one or more protective filters (2), which filter out undesired spectral components e.g. infra red, ultra violet or heat radiations. The filter wheel is positioned between the protective filters and the mixture chamber (3). One of the breakthroughs in the filter wheel does not incorporate a filter, in order to give passage to unfiltered, so-called white light. The filter wheel is driven by a motor (8) in parts of a revolution, the extent of which is freely selectable, e.g. 90 deg .
