PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for a heavy load being extremely improved in a heat generating property without damaging an abrasion resistance of a tread rubber. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire consists of (A) an isoprene-based rubber, (B) 30-70 pt.wt. carbon black based on 100 pts.wt. component (A), having 120-160 m<2> /g nitrogen adsorbing specific surface area, 80-130 mL/100 g dibutyl phthalate (DBP) oil absorption amount, 60-70 nm most frequent value (Dsi ) of the distribution of the diameter of an aggregated material and 65 80 nm half value width (ΔD50 ) of the distribution of the diameter of the aggregated material, and as necessary (C) 3-20 pt.wt. silica having 210-260 m<2> /g nitrogen adsorption specific surface area, 200-260 mL/100 g oil absorption amount.
