PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an armature, in which a communicator and a lead-out part are rigidly jointed and insulation is ensured adequately between an armature and an armature coil. SOLUTION: An armature 11 is equipped with a shaft 2, an armature core 3 is fixed to the shaft 2, an armature coil 4 is constituted by winding a lead wire 4b in slots 3a formed in the armature core 3, a commutator 5 is fixed to the shaft 2, a belt body 13 which surrounds a lead-out part 4a and fastens a welded part A formed through ultrasonic welding of a segment 8 of the commutator 5 and the lead-out part 4a, and a mold part 12 constituted of varnish, which covers the outer peripheral surface of the armature core 3 and the outer peripheral surface of the lead-out part 4a.
