The mechanism consists of a lever with one end connected to the door panel (14) and the other to a driven shaft (13) coupled to a driving shaft (12) turned by a motor/reduction gear unit (11). The axis (17) of the driving shaft is offset at an angle of between 5 and 45 degrees to the axis (18) of the driven shaft, the two shafts being connected by a ball and socket coupling with a peg (23) through the ball (20) engaging with lengthwise slots in the socket (19). |
