Snap-on connector for fluid conduit especially in motor vehicle air conditioning circuits

The connector consists of a cylindrical shell (114) fixed to the end of a conduit (10) which is to be attached to the end of a tube. The shell incorporates a plastic or metal locking member (124) which has a lengthwise slot (136) with lugs (142a, 142b) projecting on either side of it. When the lugs are pressed in opposite directions the slot opens, releasing the locking member and allowing the connector to separate.
