PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate the water in a fuel without installing a water separation device separately and independently by installing a water separation and storing means for separating and storing the water in the fuel in an auxiliary fuel tank. SOLUTION: A water storing room 32b is connectingly formed on the bottom wall 32a of a pump room 32. This water storing room 32b is constituted so that a cylinder body with a bottom is insertingly connected to the opening formed below the filter 33 of the bottom wall 32a and one part of the bottom wall inner surface of a vapour separator tank 22 is fallen in downward largely. As the inner volume of the vapour separator tank 22 is sufficiently large for the consumed fuel amount at an engine side, the fuel returned from the engine side in this vapour separator tank 22 and the fuel flow speed when the fuel dupplied from a main fuel tank side is moved to the high pressure fuel pump 24 side are extremely slow. Therefore, the water in the fuel is separated surely from the fuel by its own weight and accumulated in the water storing room 32b along the inner surface of a bottom wall 31a slanted in a front side and the corrosion of an iron part is prevented. |
