The valve assembly (1) comprises inlet pipes (21,22....) connected to a common outlet pipe (4) through individual valves (31,32....). The inlet pipes are connected to the exhaust valve ports of an IC engine and one valve to the exhaust pipe. A valve control unit (6) can open selectively several valves simultaneously. The measurement equipment (5) is connected to the common outlet pipe.
