In flotation process, depressant is either (i) polymer material containing structural unit having general formula -[X]<SB>x</SB>-[Y]<SB>y</SB>-[Z]<SB>z</SB>- where X is acrylamide or acrylamides' mixture polymerization moiety, Y anion group-containing polymer unit, Z hydroxyl group-containing polymer unit, x is about 35 mol %, y varies from about 1 to about 50 mol %, and z varies from about 1 to about 50 mol %, or (ii) mixture of above-defined polymer with polysaccharide.
