Rail brake esp. holding brake

The device has piston rail brakes with an actuator/control device. This is formed as a lowering device with a profile extending along piston rail brakes (4). Lug link plates (8) fastened to the device act on the piston rail brakes. The profile is a tube or a polygonal tube, and is turnable about its profile axis. The lowering device is actuated by an electric motor (13). Profile and/or motor have bearing studs (15), which are supported in associated bearings (14).
