A catch device for uncoupling a roll-over buckle in an electromechanical roll-over protection system of a vehicle has a solenoid (8), a locking device (3) and a holding rod (1) with retaining device (2). The locking device has three pawls (5-7) located effectively one behind the other. They are released by the solenoid. The pawls are located at right angles to one another. A locking pawl reaches into the retaining device of the holding rod. The locking pawl is restrained by a catch. An operating pawl holds the catch in its rest position. The push-rod (9) of the solenoid works on an operating face located on the other side of the operating pawl.
