The machine has a clamping lever (52) with an eccentric head (50) which is swingable out of the plane of a sole plate (38) and serves as a clamp for releasing and locking the plate in desired positions relative to a housing (12). The lever is coupled pivotally by a swiveling axis to a clamping bolt (42) which is fastened to the housing.
