A cylinder lock for furniture etc. has the cylinder (60) rotating inside a cylindrical housing (20) and is held axially by an internal catch (64). This catch can be retracted by inserting a special key enabling the lock cylinder to be removed. Prior to removal of the cylinder the locking catch (40) is unclipped from the bottom of the cylinder. The outer parts of the lock remain in place.
