FIELD: disposal of radioactive wastes. SUBSTANCE: method involves making pit in bottom soil, placing container holding radioactive wastes into pit, and covering the latter with soil or any other material; then pit is covered with slab. Pit depth is to be sufficient to eliminate effect of water surface waves or visible movement of water mass at near-bottom region. Pit may be made by explosion.
