PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify fluoropropyl vinyl ether(FPVE) to be reused in synthesizing fluoropolymers by treating a FPVE phase containing contaminated materials with a specific alcohol. SOLUTION: Fluoropropyl vinyl ether(FPVE) is purified by treating (A) a FPVE phase containing contaminated materials such as methylcyclopentane, chloroform, etc., with (B) a 1-10C alcohol (mixture). As the ingredient B, a 1-5C alcohol (mixture) is preferable and methanol and/or propanol are more preferable. As the method for purifying FPVE, the treatment preferably includes one or more times of extraction between liquid phases or gas-liquid phases. The ratio of the ingredient A and the ingredient B is preferably (1:20)-(20:1) and more preferably (1:10)-(10:1). This purification method is preferably carried out in a continuous process, a semi batch process or a batch process. |
