摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the error rate detector that estimates an accurate error rate even in communication under a high noise by estimating the error rate due to phase noise power obtained from a phase error. SOLUTION: The error rate detector consists of a phase noise power calculation section composed of a phase error power calculation section 7a that squares a phase error calculated by signals of I and Q components of QPSK separated by a demodulator adopting aπ/4-QPSK or the like to calculate phase error power, a phase error power storage section 7b that stores sequentially the phase error power, and a mean value arithmetic section 7c that averages the phase error power sets stored for a prescribed period to calculate phase noise power, an error rate calculation section 7d having an error rate table storing in advance error rate theoretical values corresponding to the phase noise power and a control section 7e that controls the sections 7a-7d. Then referencing the error rate table, it outputs an error rate corresponding to the phase noise power from the mean value arithmetic section 7c. In this way, the error rate is estimated accurately and simply.
