The pressure conversion machine, with a hydraulic motor (1) to operate a hydraulic pump (2), has an inlet pressure connection (3) for the hydraulic fluid at the motor (1), and a low pressure connection (4) from the motor (1). The hydraulic fluid is passed at least partially through the pump (2) to an outlet pressure connection (5). The hydraulic fluid is passed through the low pressure outlet (4) into the pump (2). An entry pressure limit (7) is between the inlet pressure connection (3) and the low pressure connection (4), and an outlet pressure limit (6) is between the outlet pressure connection (5) and the low pressure connection.
