The wheel has a central disc (10), carrying a rim (20) via spring elements (16). A backlash connector unit (26-36) between disc and rim permits relative movements which are smaller than a set distance, but prevents larger relative movements. The connection comprises of clamps (32), with first ends (30) fastened to disc/rim, and second ends (34), which act with play with disc/rim. The first ends are mainly fitted positively into recesses in disc/rim, and are secured by fasteners (36).
