Acoustic cover for IC engine for noise damming

The device has a cover plate over the engine space, which also serves as optical cover. Peripheral functional or regulating components of the engine are also located on or integrated in the cover plate (2). This is e.g. a pressure compensation vessel (3), connected in/directly to the IC engine via a pressure hose (7,8). The vessel is shell-shaped to the contours of the engine. It is fastened pressure-tight to the cover, and has internal ribs and/or struts (4) with apertures (5), for stiffening. The side of the shell facing the engine has a sound-absorbent material cover.
