The bearing fitting has a shell for the crankshaft bearing with a running surface making a gap with that of the journal, the position of which varies. Lubricating oil inputs (11, 13) supply oil to the gap. There is at least one further oil input (12) in the region of the danger zone in which the angular velocity of the gap is about half that of the journal. Its output cross section is small compared with the width of a uniform-width groove.
