Dough is produced from connective tissue, vegetable matter and water, where the connective tissue is derived from the flesh of vertebrates, invertebrates and/or shellfish and the vegetable matter is derived from food plants. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a process stated to be as above in which meat, rind, head skin and/or other suitable tissue or material of animal or vegetable origin is used instead of or in addition to the connective tissue; (2) a process stated to be as above in which the connective tissue is partly or completely replaced by similar tissue produced from animal or plant tissue by genetic engineering and/or biotechnology processes. |
