<p>The invention is directed towards a method for improving transparency in blown polyethylene films. Accordingly, a nucleating agent and polyethylene are combined to form a melt form which the film is blown. The method comprises forming a melt of polyethylene and a nucleating agent selected form the group consisting of ethylene copolymers containing grafted maleic anhydride, ethylene copolymers containing grafted acrylic acid, and mixtures thereof. Polyethylene films having increased transparency can be blown therefrom.</p> |
