PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element with the excellent light energy conversion efficiency, durability, and applicability.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element includes: a pair of base materials; a pair of electrodes disposed between the pair of base materials; and a multilayer body disposed between the pair of electrodes and formed by sequentially stacking an electron transportation layer, a photoelectric conversion layer containing a photosensitive material with a perovskite crystal structure represented by CHNHMX(Mrepresents a metal element and X represents one or more selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br, and I), and a layer containing a conductive material. At least one of the pair of base materials includes one or more thin-film layers. One or more thin-film layers contain silicon, oxygen, and carbon. The following conditions (i) to (iii) are all satisfied: (i) the carbon distribution curve is substantially continuous; (ii) the carbon distribution curve has at least one extreme value; and (iii) the absolute value of the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the carbon atomic ratio in the carbon distribution curve is 5 at% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
