The support comprises a body mounted on a foot and made up of a number of sections connected by pivots which allow them to turn relative to one another about horizontal axes. Each section has two more or less parallel side branches which are able to rotate relative to the side branches of the next section, and at least one of the sections has a fixed panel to receive advertising material. The lower end of each panel has a counterweight to return it to the upright position after it has been deflected e.g. by the wind.
