PURPOSE: A game device and a method by using a brain wave is provided to enjoy a game by using the brain wave being differed by the will of a user by using a standard brain wave reflecting a brain wave characteristic per user in real time. CONSTITUTION: A game device includes:an instrument for measuring and inputting a brain wave; and a computer for comparing the measured brain wave with a standard brain wave for analyzing and treating for operating and outputting a stored game program according to the treated result. Herein, the brain wave measuring and inputting instrument includes:a head band containing an electrode for being worn on the head skin for detecting the brain wave; an amplifier for amplifying the brain wave being measured in the head band; and a computer interface for converting the amplified brain wave into a signal for the computer to read. The game device can analyze the brain wave of the user in real time or preliminarily measure the brain wave of the user for comparing with a brain wave database and decide the concentrating rate and an amplitude being easily controlled by each user.
