Two-position electromagnetic relay

The electromagnetic relay has a magnet assembly (1) with a coil (3) with a core (4) running through it and two pole pieces (4a,b). There is a movable armature (5) which is connected to one of the pole pieces by a return spring (6). A rod (11) fastened to the armature moves a spring contact element (10) which is situated between two circuit boards (7,8). One end of the spring is firmly fastened to a contact pin which runs through both of the circuit boards and supports them. The other end of the spring has a movable contact element which is in contact with a fixed contact (13) either on the top circuit board or on the bottom circuit board.
