摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element having large luminescence intensity and exerting stable performance during a repeated use by containing a fluorine- containing benzidine compound in the element provided with at least a set of counter electrodes and an organic luminescence layer. SOLUTION: A fluorine-containing benzidine compound expressed by the formula is contained in this organic electroluminescence element, where Ar1 indicates the fluorine-containing alkyl group or the aryl group having the fluorine-containing alkoxy group, and Ar2, Ar3, Ar4 independently indicate the aryl group or heterocyclic group which may have the substitutional group respectively. R1, R2 independently indicate hydrogen atom, alkyl group or alkoxy group respectively. The fluorine-containing benzidine expressed in the formula is excellent in the luminescence function and positive hole transportation function. Ar1 preferably indicates the phenyl group, and the fluorine-containing lower alkyl group such as mono or di or trifluoromethyl, preferably trifluoromethyl, is used for the fluorine-containing alkyl group which is the substitutional group of Ar1.
