PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive luminaire capable of preventing leakage of an unhardened embedding material from a screwing part of a lamp holder by a simple structure, and having the improved appearance. SOLUTION: In this luminaire, an electric wire tube 25 of a lamp holder 24 is screwed into a holder fitting hole 23 formed in a bottom wall 12a of a luminaire body 12, and a discharge lamp ballast 21 contained in the body 12 is embedded in an embedding material 22, then a rubber bushing 27 which electric wires 28, 29 extending from the holder 24 to the inside of the body 12 pass through is provided to the inside of the fitting hole 23. The fitting hole 23 is constituted by an upper bushing loading hole part 23a into which the bushing 27 is pressed, and a lower screw hole part 23b into which the tube 25 is screwed. The bushing 27 blocks communication of the inside of the body 12 with an engaging part of the tube 25 with the screw hole part 23b, which prevents the unhardened embedding material 22 injected into the body 12 from passing through the fitting hole 23 and leaking, before it hardens.
