PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring device capable of speedily performing maintenance work by providing various kinds of information required for a maintenance person on the job site of maintenance work directly from a control center. SOLUTION: A control center 4 is provided with an information storage part 11 for storing various kinds of technique information related to facility equipment, component information composed of various component lists to be used for the facility equipment and component stock information showing the stock presence/absence of these components, information transmitting/receiving part 12 for communicating information with portable terminal equipment 7 through a communication line 13, and information processing part 10 connected to these information storage part 11 and information transmitting/receiving part 12 so as to process various kinds of data or information. Thus, when information, which can not be provided from stored contents in the portable terminal equipment 7, such as at least one of technique information, component information and component stock information is required, for example, the maintenance person connects the portable terminal equipment 7 through the communication line 13 to the control center 4 so that the said information can be read out of the information storage part 11, transmitted from the information transmitting/receiving part 12 to the side of the portable terminal equipment 7 and displayed.
