The roller blind system incorporates a case (12) which takes a winder shaft (16) for a roller blind casing which runs in side guide rails (40,42) on the outside of a window (38). A slatted blind (20), positioned on the casing, is in the form of an external blind integrated into the roller-blind case and movable along the outside of the window. Guide elements (44) guiding the slats are parallel with the guide rails for the roller blind casing.
