APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ALARMING LOOKING AND LISTENING OF UNSUITABLE PROGRAM

PURPOSE: An apparatus which alarms the corresponding information by using a voice guide when a viewer looks and listens a program of an unsuitable grade and a method thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for alarming a looking and listening of an unsuitable program, the apparatus comprising: a memory(10) for storing looking and listening permission information which indicates a program range capable of looking and listening; a voice memory(12) for storing a voice message which guides the interception of a program access when an access with respect to a program is intercepted; a packet decoder(14) for decoding grade information included in a received program; a voice signal generator(34) for generating a voice signal corresponding to the voice message stored in the voice memory(12) and providing the voice signal to a speaker; and a microprocessor(16) comparing the decoded grade information from the packet decoder(14) with the looking and listening permission information stored in the memory(10), and providing the voice message stored in the voice memory(12) to the voice signal generator(34) when a grade of the program is not included in a permission range of the looking and listening permission information.
