PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily manufacture a viscoelastic wall having such a constitution as a viscoelastic body is held in an adhesion state between steel plates. SOLUTION: A projection 7 is provided to either of steel plates laminated by leaving a space between both of them, the top of the projection 7 is brought into contact with the other steel plate in a slidable manner to ensure a uniform gap between both steel plates, and a viscoelastic wall is so constituted that a viscoelastic body is held between both of them. One inside steel plate 3b is laminated between two outside steel plates 3a to hold the viscoelastic body 4 between them, and a checkered steel plate 6 having checkered projections 7 as the outside steel plate 3a is used. Or, one inside steel plate 3b is laminated between two outside steel plates 3a to hold the viscoelastic body 4 between both of them, and a projection attached steel plate 9 having projections on both sides as the inside steel plate 3b is used.
