IMPROVED MICROSTRIP EDGE CARD CONNECTOR

PURPOSE: An improved circuit card connector is provided to have a flexible circuitry extending through an interconnection interface of the connector and a structure dispersing an opening power of the connector according to a length of a connector card slot. CONSTITUTION: The circuit cart connector using a flexible circuit (140) comprises: a length-long base portion (102); a pair of cradle spring members (115) supported on the base portion; and a pair of contact springs (130) supported to be capable of moving. The cradle spring members (115) comprises a plurality of reset arms (126) which extend upward from the spring members in a contact state with a lower side of the flexible circuitry (140). The flexible circuitry (140) includes a ground plane layer (168) which is under a signal transfer layer (162) and has holes space apart from the signal transfer layer. The holes in the ground plane layer (168) increase the flexibility in conductive regions (141, 143) as an interconnection interface so as to increase the compliance of the connector (100).
