The method involves passing control information to the current base station (BS1) to activate a conventional park function. The associated terminal (E) identity is passed to the communications terminal (VE) from a second base station (BS2) connected to the communications terminal via a second subscriber connection bus (TB2). The communications terminal checks which bus the identity is associated with. If the bus is not identical to that to which the second base station is connected the link associated with the first bus is associated with the second bus. The communications terminal performs conventional link re-establishment functions in combination with wire-connected terminals to re-establish the link to the associated bus.
