PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject novel compound that comprises a specific 2'-O-alkylated nucleoside and nucleoside analogues and is used as a starting material or producing phosphoroamidite that is useful in the production of an oligonucleotide for controlling the protein synthesis. SOLUTION: This compound is a novel 2'-O-alkylated nucleoside represented by the formula [X is R1-(R2)n (R1 is a 1-20C alkyl, a 2-20 alkenyl or the like; R2 is keto, nitroso, trifluoromethyl, O-alkyl, NH-alkyl, O-aryl, NH-aryl, amino, azide, sulfide, silyl or the like; n is 1-6] or a nucleoside analogues and is useful as a starting material for producing a phosphoroamide that is used in the production of an oligonucleotidefor adjusting the protein synthesis by forming a specific hybrid with an mRNA encoding the protein. This compound is prepared by alkylation of 2,6-diamino-9-(ribofuranosyl)purine, and followed by deamination of the alkylated product.
