PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a miticidal composition having effective extermination effect on mites by its suitable volatility and easily handleable at home by compounding an oily fragrant substance to a sublimable carrier. SOLUTION: The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) an oily fragrant substance (preferably D-limonene, menthone, cinnamaldehyde citral, benzyl alcohol, etc.), to (B) a sublimable carrier (preferably camphor, naphthalene, p-dichlorobenzene, adamantane, cyclododecane, etc.). The amount of the component A is preferably 0.01-50 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component B. The composition may be further incorporated with a surfactant as an additive. In this case, the amount of the surfactant is preferably 0.01-20 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component B. An effective exterminating action on mites living in bedding, etc., can be exhibited and the persistency of the effect is expectable by the use of the surfactant.
