PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater system capable of confirming the contents of an error frame. SOLUTION: In a repeater system 10 of a local area network, a frame 1a2 received from a port 1a is stored in the prescribed area of a frame storage part 4 and a reception part 3 checks whether the received frame is the error frame or not. When the received frame is recognized as the error frame, writing to the area of the error frame stored in the frame storage part 4 is inhibited. Thus, since the error frame is stored without being erased, the frame contents can be confirmed.
