PURPOSE: A pressure dividing apparatus for hermetic rotary compressor is provided to lengthen useful life of components by preventing abrasion of the spring and achieve an improved compression efficiency by increasing contact force between the rolling piston and the vane. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a vane(10), a spring(14), and a spring support member(15). A cylinder has a compression space where a rolling piston(9) is inserted and eccentrically rotates, a guide slot(8c) having a predetermined width, and a spring insertion hole(8d) formed in vertical direction at the guide slot. The vane is inserted into the guide slot of the cylinder and contacts the rolling piston so as to divide the interior of the cylinder into a high pressure section and a low pressure section. The spring is inserted into the spring insertion hole and elastically supports the vane. The spring support member is inserted into the spring insertion hole so as to stably fix and support the spring.
