PURPOSE: An apparatus for lighting for an LCD projector is provided to improve an optical efficiency and control an optical angle easily by forming a polarized light conversion device as a laminating shape. CONSTITUTION: A light source(30) forms and radiates a parallel light. The first micro lens array(31) focuses an incident light from the light source(30). A polarized light conversion device(34) consists of the first polarized light conversion unit(32) and the second polarized light conversion unit(33) and is formed with laminating the first polarized light conversion unit(32) and the second polarized light conversion unit(33) up and down. The second micro lens array(35) converses a radiated light from the polarized light conversion device(34) into a parallel light and radiates the parallel light.
