The track bearing slab (100) may have edge grooves to receive standard steel rails secured by side plates tied by transverse rods. Alternatively the slab may be fitted for a magnetically suspended linear motor vehicle (3). The track slab is supported on spacer plinths (203) integrally cast with the concrete trough units (200) that are assembled and pretension in lengths up to 30m and supported on pillars or columns (5). The columns of appropriate height are based on foundations (6).
