The water motor (10) has a housing (12) with a channel (40,42) esp. for water, between intakes and outlets. The water flows by gravity into the intake and out of the outlet. A piston (16) rotating about a first axis is moved into the channel, and is rotated about that axis by the static pressure of the water in the channel. The piston is a rotary slide, and is held pivoted about a second axis in a gyroscope (14), which rotates about the first axis. The slide has a seal (64,66) of rubber or elastic plastic along its edge. Take-off elements, e.g. a belt (70) esp. V-belt or toothed belt, engage on the gyroscope. Gyroscope and/or slide are esp. of plastic or timber. The housing is of plastic or concrete.
