PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can suppress deterioration of image quality and degradation of print throughput caused by flashing.SOLUTION: A printer 100 includes: print heads 32C, 32M, 32Y, 32K having a plurality of nozzles including a first nozzle; a discharge control part 12 which can control discharge of a liquid from the plurality of nozzles; a conveyance part which relatively moves a recording medium and the print heads by conveying the recording medium 90 and at least one of the print heads; and a suction part 40 which has a suction port positioned on an upstream side or a downstream side of the print head in a relative movement direction of the print head and the recording medium. The discharge control part controls so that the first nozzle discharges mist-like ink droplets when the first nozzle is not at a timing of discharging image forming ink droplets, and the suction part sucks the mist-like ink droplets discharged from the first nozzle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
