PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a case further matched with words and phrases inputted by a user by adopting a procedure based on the different points of view. SOLUTION: In this case-based reasoning method, when words and phrases are inputted by an inputting part 41, a word and phrase case retrieval processing part 21 retrieves a case including words and phrases by using a case file 51, and a scoring part 22 scores the words and phrases in a range up to the maximum score 40 according to the level of matching including words and phrases, and a rearranging part 23 rearranges the words and phrases in the order of high scores, and a monitor 42 displays them with a related question. When the displayed question is answered, the score is re-calculated so as to increase or decrease by a re-scoring part 25 according to the answered result. When the maximum score reaches a certain value 80 by the re-scoring, an evaluation judging part 26 ends inference processing for recommending the event of the maximum score.
