PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker with a thin profile and having superior directivity. SOLUTION: This speaker 1 has a diaphragm 2, that vibrates to produce sound waves, coils 3a, 3b that are arranged on the diaphragm and generate a magnetic field, while receiving a signal, magnetic pairs 4a, 4b that are placed at positions corresponding to the coils 3a, 3b at both sides of the diaphragm 2, so that the same poles face opposite to each other with the diaphragm 2 is inbetween, and a yoke 5 that forms a magnetic path. The diaphragm 2 is formed as a plane. The coils 3a, (3b) are configured such that planar spiral coils 31a, 31b (32a, 32b) are connected in series and the winding direction of the spiral coils 31a, 31b (32a, 32b) is opposite to each other. A line of the magnetic pairs 4a, 4b tying the facing poles passes through a center of the coils 3a, 3b.
