PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment with which a transmitter side delivers information denoting execution of both side reading and designation of both side recording to a receiver side. SOLUTION: A transmitter side decides the presence of execution for double side reading and presence of designation for double-side recording based on double-side read selection information by a double-side read selection button 26, designation information of double side recording by a double side recording designation button 30 and information denoting whether or not the double side recording is available that is sent from a receiver to the transmitter. Then the transmitter adds the information above to original information and transmits the resulting original information to the receiver. Furthermore, information denoting the presence of execution of double side reading and presence of designation of double-side recording is added to a communication result report.
