摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce temperature irregularity on the outer surface of a heat roller by providing a tubular member having a heating element inside with a graphite layer having the anisotropy of heat conductivity that heat conductivity is different according to a heat conducting direction. SOLUTION: This heat roller 14 is provided with a bar-like halogen lamp 2 in space inside a tubular heat roller main body 12 made of aluminum. The roller 14 is provided with the graphite layer 11 on the inner surface of the main body 12. The layer 11 has the anisotropy of the heat conductivity and is constituted so that a direction having the high heat conductivity may be equal to the direction of the rotary shaft of the roller 14 in substance. Furthermore, the roller 14 is provided with a Teflon(R) coating layer 13 on the outer surface of the main body 12. Thus, in the case of consecutively performing fixation to small size paper such as a postcard, the unevenness of area temperature in a paper passing area and areas on both sides of the paper passing area is softened and faulty fixation caused by the unevenness of the surface temperature of the roller 14 and the occurrence of offset caused by heating the area are prevented.
