The invention concerns a hold-down fastener comprising a shank (1) internally including a plurality of lips (11) capable of co-operating with a screw (4) thread (5), said lips (11) being directed inwards of the shank and inclined in the direction for inserting said screw into said shank. The invention is characterised in that each lip (11) comprises at least two parts, one first part being connected to said shank and inclined at rest at a first angle relatively to the shank, on the side for inserting the screw, a second part connected to the first part and inclined at rest at a second angle relatively to the shank, on the side for inserting the screw, the second angle having a greater value than the first angle and being less than 180 DEG , so as to facilitate the insertion of the screw (4) into the shank (1), while maintaining the fastener screw-holding power after the screw has been inserted. The invention is useful for fixing electric cables, piping systems or the like.
