In the purpose to produce transgenic plants, animals or microorganism wherein their freezing resistance is improved, by genetic engineering technique, identification of a plant membrane protein involving in freezing resistance is achieved. Partial amino acid sequence of CWPM23 protein, a protein involved in freezing resistance of winter wheat, is determined.
