PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an artificial marble while maintaining the strength of a molded article and simultaneously without causing molding cracks which enables addition and compounding of various recycles by making the most of them for creating high design quality. SOLUTION: In the method for producing an artificial marble obtained by adding and compounding a thermosetting resin to and with a filler and an additive such as a curing agent and a self-release agent to obtain a resin composition and curing the resin composition, at least any one of recycles comprising artificial marble tailings, glass bottle scraps, waste plastic scraps, earthenware scraps and waste plastic incineration ashes is added to and compounded with a resin composition as the highly designing material and, furthermore, a silane coupling agent for improving the adhesion to the resin composition is added to and compounded with the resin composition.
