PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to apply on/off control of a power supply for an optional electronic device connected to an household AC power supply only through utterance of a voice in place of the operation of a remote commander or the like. SOLUTION: In the interphone system consisting of a master set 2 and slave sets, the master set 2 is provided with a voice recognition means 9 that recognizes a voice uttered by the user and gives the recognition result to a power line carrier means 10. The power line carrier means 10 superimposes a control signal to control the power supply of an optional electric apparatus (e.g. a lighting fixture 50) on the basis of the recognition result onto a power supply and outputs the result to an AC line 6 as a power line carrier signal. On the other hand, a power line carrier reception section 53 of an optional electric apparatus connected to a power socket 5 and receiving the power carrier signal as the power receives the power line carrier signal and, extracts the control signal, and a control section 54 applies the on/off control of power supply by a switch 52 on the basis of the control signal. Thus, the switching of the power supply of an optional electronic apparatus is remotely controlled by having only to utter a voice.
